making an impact near and far
From Southwest Nebraska to communities around the world, we believe the Church is called to love neighbors, serve generously, and share the hope of Jesus through action.
why impact matters
Impact is more than a ministry category — it is part of who we are. We believe following Jesus means stepping into the needs of our communities, supporting families, partnering with organizations doing meaningful work, and investing in missions that bring hope across the globe.
Whether it’s helping a neighbor clean up a yard, supporting local schools, responding to practical needs, or partnering with missionaries overseas, every act of service is an opportunity to reflect the love of Christ.
local impact
We are passionate about loving our neighbors right here in Southwest Nebraska. Through strategic partnerships, volunteer opportunities, care initiatives, and outreach events, we aim to strengthen our communities and serve people in practical ways.
We believe meaningful impact happens through strong community partnerships. MCC is honored to work alongside local organizations that are meeting practical needs, supporting families, and bringing hope to people throughout Southwest Nebraska. We proudly support The McCook Food Pantry, Miriam's Hope, and The Sharing Place. We also partner with Community Action and the Family Resource Center.

McCook Food Pantry
Partnering to help provide food assistance and support for individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community.

Miriam's Hope
Supporting women and families through compassionate care, practical resources, encouragement, and support services.

The Sharing Place
Working together to provide mentorship, support, and essential resources for individuals and families throughout the community.
the neighbor project
The Neighbor Project is a community-wide serve initiative focused on loving our neighbors through practical acts of service across Southwest Nebraska. Throughout the season, volunteers from MCC will partner together to assist local organizations, families, schools, and individuals through a variety of meaningful projects designed to improve quality of life and reflect the heart of Jesus.
Rather than being limited to a single event, The Neighbor Project will include multiple serve opportunities taking place in the weeks leading up to and following our annual Church in the Park celebration.
MAIN SERVE DAY // SUNDAY, AUGUST 16 FOLLOWING CHURCH IN THE PARK
Our largest serve day will take place immediately following Church in the Park as teams mobilize throughout the community to complete projects and serve local needs together.
Types of projects may include: yard cleanup and landscaping, painting and minor repairs, community beautification projects, school and nonprofit support, assistance for elderly or disabled residents, family support projects, outdoor cleanup and maintenance, special community outreach opportunities.
The Neighbor Project exists to remind people they are seen, valued, and loved. Through simple acts of kindness and teamwork, we hope to strengthen our communities and make the love of Jesus visible in tangible ways.
global impact
Our mission extends beyond our local communities. MCC partners with missionaries and organizations beyond the world who are sharing the Gospel, serving vulnerable communities, planting churches, and meeting practical needs. We currently support Summit Christian College, Pibel Bible Camp, Pinehaven Christian Ranch, South Pacific Ministries, Provee, Ozark Christian College, Crossroads International Student Ministries, Conexion Iglesia, CityLight Kearney, and Christian Student Fellowship.
