    IMPACT

    Main Scripture:  1 Thessalonians 1:2-10

    Supporting Scripture:  Luke 15, 1 Peter 3:15, Ephesians 4:12

The gospel comes with power, transforms people, and moves through them—so we refuse the bystander effect and make kingdom impact one person at a time. Transformed people transform people.

Bystander Effect Hook: Kitty Genovese story exposes how crowds paralyze action; impact requires someone to step first.

Vision in 1 Thess 1:3: Faith → work (visible deeds), Love → labor (costly sacrifice), Hope → endurance (staying power anchored in Christ).

Power, Imitation, Joy (1:5–6): The gospel arrived “not simply with words” but with the Spirit’s power, reshaping daily living—even amid suffering.

Ripple Effect (1:7–8): A fragile church becomes a model; their faith “rang out” everywhere. No fog machine required—just Spirit-empowered lives.

Kingdom Math (Luke 15): ONE is a great number; in God’s economy, pursuing one is worth risk, cost, and focus. One never stays one.

Every Saint Equipped (Eph 4:12): Ministry isn’t for a few professionals—“every one reaching one.” Your role: carry water to the thirsty; Jesus is the Source.

Everyday Witness (1 Pet 3:15): Revere Christ, be ready with a gentle, respectful reason for your hope; practice a simple, clear gospel story.

    Take It Another Step:

Where have you seen the “bystander effect” in spiritual life—times you assumed someone else would step in? What would stepping first look like this week?

Which part of 1 Thess 1:3 most challenges you right now—faithful work, loving labor, or hope-fueled endurance? Why?

Who is your ONE? What is one concrete action (text, invite, serve, prayer) you’ll take for them in the next 48 hours?

If someone asked for the reason for your hope (1 Pet 3:15), how would you answer in two minutes? What practice or community support would help you be ready?
